The screen goes all crazy and blurry. Also, when I scroll up/down it gets stuck & won't move. I am constantly having to open/close my phone or shut it off/on for it to act right. Is this normal for flip phones?

No, it's not. You have a messed up phone and possible water damage. You need to get it checked out if it is under warranty, or get another one on ebay.

I've seen this cell phone that is a flip phone when you flip it one way (up-right), and then it can flip the other way and you have QWERTY keyboard to type, holding the phone horizantally.

it is a samsung SCH-u740 I got mine for free, so I don;t know how uch it costs, but it does depend on where you buy it from.
