Cell phones produce electromagnetic radiation. Cell phones discharge certain signals known as radio frequency energy, a form of electromagnetic radiation. There is lot of news these days as to whether cell phones emit radiation which affects our health. Cell phones are placed close to our head which results in direct radiation to the head. Ionizing and Non-Ionizing radiation are the two types of electro magnetic radiation. Radiation can damage human tissue if exposed to high levels of radio frequency radiation. Some of the health problems that can arise due to cell phone radiation are Cancer, Brain tumors, Alzheimer, Fatigue and Headache. According to a survey, higher levels of cell phone radiation can heat biological tissue and cause damage such as burns.

In U.S. every cell phone model is tested and meets FCC standards before it is sold in the market. SAR (specific absorption rate) is a way of measuring the quantity of radio frequency energy that is absorbed by the body. A cell phone or cordless phone should have less than 1.6 watts per kilogram SAR level.

Some of the highest radiation cell phones in United States are as follows: Motorola V195s has 1.6 SAR level. Motorola ZN5, VU204, W385, i335 have 1.59, 1.55, 1.54 and 1.53 SAR levels. Some of the lowest radiation cell phones in United States are as follows: Samsung Eternity SGH-A867, SGH-G800, Soul, Innov8, SHG-T229, and SGH-i450 have 0.194, 0.23, 0.24, 0.287, 0.383 and 0.457 have SAR levels.

Some of the cell phone radiation protection tips are as follows: When you are speaking over the phone, try to keep the phones as far as possible from the ear. For long conversation use landline corded phones. Do not use cell phones in areas where the signal is week. As far as possible, text messages instead of making a call. Buy a cell phone that has lower SAR. Do not allow children to use a cell phone except for emergencies. Children are more sensitive to radiation because their bodies are developing. Don’t keep the cell phone near your body at night. Do not put the cell phone in your pocket while in use. Nowadays various cell phone protection devices are available in the market which can protect you from radiation.

Many people are facing health problems due to cell phones. Many people are prone to high blood pressure due to cell phones. A study has found out that if people use cell phones for long hours they can face problems like burning skin, headaches and fatigue, sleeping disorders and brain tumors. You can also face short term memory loss problems. Some researches claim that holding a cell phone on the ear for long hours can damage muscles, bones, tendons and discs.

The head of a prominent cancer research institute issued an unprecedented warning to his faculty and staff Wednesday: Limit cell phone use because of the possible risk of cancer.

The warning from Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, is contrary to numerous studies that don't find a link between cancer and cell phone use, and a public lack of worry by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Herberman is basing his alarm on early unpublished data. He says it takes too long to get answers from science and he believes people should take action now especially when it comes to children.

"Really at the heart of my concern is that we shouldn't wait for a definitive study to come out, but err on the side of being safe rather than sorry later," Herberman said.

No other major academic cancer research institutions have sounded such an alarm about cell phone use. But Herberman's advice is sure to raise concern among many cell phone users and especially parents.

In the memo he sent to about 3,000 faculty and staff Wednesday, he says children should use cell phones only for emergencies because their brains are still developing.

Adults should keep the phone away from the head and use the speakerphone or a wireless headset, he says. He even warns against using cell phones in public places like a bus because it exposes others to the phone's electromagnetic fields.

The issue that concerns some scientists though nowhere near a consensus is electromagnetic radiation, especially its possible effects on children. It is not a major topic in conferences of brain specialists.

A 2008 University of Utah analysis looked at nine studies including some Herberman cites with thousands of brain tumor patients and concludes "we found no overall increased risk of brain tumors among cellular phone users. The potential elevated risk of brain tumors after long-term cellular phone use awaits confirmation by future studies."

Studies last year in France and Norway concluded the same thing.

"If there is a risk from these products and at this point we do not know that there is it is probably very small," the Food and Drug Administration says on an agency Web site.

Still, Herberman cites a "growing body of literature linking long-term cell phone use to possible adverse health effects including cancer."

"Although the evidence is still controversial, I am convinced that there are sufficient data to warrant issuing an advisory to share some precautionary advice on cell phone use," he wrote in his memo.

A driving force behind the memo was Devra Lee Davis, the director of the university's center for environmental oncology.

"The question is do you want to play Russian roulette with your brain," she said in an interview from her cell phone while using the hands-free speaker phone as recommended. "I don't know that cell phones are dangerous. But I don't know that they are safe."

Of concern are the still unknown effects of more than a decade of cell phone use, with some studies raising alarms, said Davis, a former health adviser in the Clinton Administration.

She said 20 different groups have endorsed the advice the Pittsburgh cancer institute gave, and authorities in England, France and India have cautioned children's use of cell phones.

Herberman and Davis point to a massive ongoing research project known as Interphone, involving scientists in 13 nations, mostly in Europe. Results already published in peer-reviewed journals from this project aren't so alarming, but Herberman is citing work not yet published.

The published research focuses on more than 5,000 cases of brain tumors. The National Research Council in the U.S., which isn't participating in the Interphone project, reported in January that the brain tumor research had "selection bias." That means it relied on people with cancer to remember how often they used cell phones. It is not considered the most accurate research approach.

The largest published study, which appeared in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute in 2006, tracked 420,000 Danish cell phone users, including thousands that had used the phones for more than 10 years. It found no increased risk of cancer among those using cell phones.

A French study based on Interphone research and published in 2007 concluded that regular cell phone users had "no significant increased risk" for three major types of nervous system tumors. It did note, however, that there was "the possibility of an increased risk among the heaviest users" for one type of brain tumor, but that needs to be verified in future research.

Earlier research also has found no connection.

Joshua E. Muscat of Penn State University, who has studied cancer and cell phones in other research projects partly funded by the cell phone industry, said there are at least a dozen studies that have found no cancer-cell phone link. He said a Swedish study cited by Herberman as support for his warning was biased and flawed.

"We certainly don't know of any mechanism by which radiofrequency exposure would cause a cancerous effect in cells. We just don't know this might possibly occur," Muscat said.

Cell phones emit radiofrequency energy, a type of radiation that is a form of electromagnetic radiation, according to the National Cancer Institute. Though studies are being done to see if there is a link between it and tumors of the brain and central nervous system, there is no definitive link between the two, the institute says on its Web site.

"By all means, if a person feels compelled that they should take precautions in reducing the amount of electromagnetic radio waves through their bodies, by all means they should do so," said Dan Catena, a spokesman for the American Cancer Society. "But at the same time, we have to remember there's no conclusive evidence that links cell phones to cancer, whether it's brain tumors or other forms of cancer."

Joe Farren, a spokesman for the CTIA-The Wireless Association, a trade group for the wireless industry, said the group believes there is a risk of misinforming the public if science isn't used as the ultimate guide on the issue.

"When you look at the overwhelming majority of studies that have been peer reviewed and published in scientific journals around the world, you'll find no relationship between wireless usage and adverse health affects," Farren said.

Frank Barnes, who chaired the January report from the National Research Council, said Wednesday that "the jury is out" on how hazardous long-term cell phone use might be.

Speaking from his cell phone, the professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder said he takes no special precautions in his own phone use. And he offered no specific advice to people worried about the matter.

It's up to each individual to decide what if anything to do. If people use a cell phone instead of having a land line, "that may very well be reasonable for them," he said.

Susan Juffe, a 58-year-old Pittsburgh special education teacher, heard about Herberman's cell phone advice on the radio earlier in the day.

"Now, I'm worried. It's scary," she said.

She says she'll think twice about allowing her 10-year-old daughter Jayne to use the cell phone.

"I don't want to get it (brain cancer) and I certainly don't want you to get it," she explained to her daughter.

Sara Loughran, a 24-year-old doctoral student at the University of Pittsburgh, sat in a bus stop Wednesday chatting on her cell phone with her mother. She also had heard the news earlier in the day, but was not as concerned.

"I think if they gave me specific numbers and specific information and it was scary enough, I would be concerned," Loughran said, planning to call her mother again in a matter of minutes. "Without specific numbers, it's too vague to get me worked up."

It can be quite frustrating when you need to discover who the owner of a cell phone number is, and find that getting that information is nearly impossible. Fortunately with emergence of cell phone lookup services, you can now find the information you need, when you need it.

There are really many different reasons why you may need to use a cell phone lookup service. You may miss an important call and not call the number back because you don't know whom it belongs to. Maybe you have been looking for someone for years and have been unable to find them, chances are they have a cell phone number, and with a cell phone lookup service, you just may find them.

With so much of the world turning exclusively to cell phones for their communication needs, there has to be a way in which you can find cell phone numbers, just like there is with the traditional landline numbers. These cell phone lookup services can help you do that, but in some cases there is a small, onetime fee associated with using these services.

Cell Phone Lookup Service For Businesses

Business owners can also make use of a cell phone look up service. The business sector was probably the first to make use of cell phones, and today businesses depend on their cell phones. For this reason having your business cell phone number listed with a cell phone lookup service can be very helpful if there is a client trying to reach you. You may also find a time when you need to locate the number of a business but can't, with a cell phone look up service all the information you need is at your fingertips.

No matter what your reasons are for needing a cell phone lookup service, you'll find that all the information you need, will be easy to find. Often you can get information such as who the owner of the cell phone number is, their address, as well as who the cell phone service provider is. You can even discover if someone has more than one cell phone. This can be especially useful if you suspect a spouse of cheating, or you simply want to know if a friend has another cell phone number where you can reach him or her.

The next time you find yourself wondering about someone's cell phone number, or you get a mystery call and want to find out who it is, you may want to consider using a quality cell phone lookup service to help you find the information you need.

"11,000 Scandinavian cell phone users were studied and they showed significant neurological effects in a dose response manner… There is also a higher incidence of cardiac problems… The neurological effects are noticed within minutes of using a cell phone." -Neil Cherry biophysicist at Lincoln University in Christ Church, New Zealand

More than 26 million people worldwide are stricken by Alzheimer's disease, and a new forecast says the number will quadruple by 2050. At that rate, at least one in 85 people onboard planet Earth will be brain-wiped within 40 years. [AP June 10/07]

One of the first indications of dementia - and a common side effect of frequent 'cordless' cell and portable phone use - is memory loss. French researchers have found that the abnormal proteins found in Alzheimer's cases always deposit in the hippocampus first. Cell phone radiation is directly implicated in forming these abnormal proteins. [ Proceedings of the Second Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium, Finland, Jan/01;]

"For three years now Ingri and I have been traveling with a hand-held device called a 'zapchecker'. The zapchecker measures ambient levels of electromagnetic radiation. During dozens of road trips throughout the western U.S. since 2003, we would be driving along and notice that the zapchecker would suddenly 'spike'. We would then see a cell tower, a hospital or government building with a satellite communications array, a radio station or sometimes, high tension lines within a half mile or so. After a few minutes, the zapchecker would calm down again until the next wireless monument came within range…

"On March 30, 2006, Ingri and I traveled from Spirit Lake to Seattle to attend what turned out to be an excellent 9/11 truth event on the University of Washington campus. What we experienced with regard to measurable amounts of ambient electromagnetic radiation was shocking to us and occupied much of our conversation throughout our journey. Wherein previous years there would be miles between measurable amounts of radiation being detected by our zapchecker, the opposite was suddenly true. Our zapchecker was spiking about 90% of the time during our 800-mile round trip. It was 'clean' only between cell towers and now there is almost always one in sight. In all cases, when we were in urban areas, the zapchecker was solidly spiked - even when the sensitivity of the device was turned down." -Amy Worthington

Melatonin has been shown to help prevent Alzheimer's. Melatonin also blocks estrogen's propensity to develop breast tumors in women.
If you are in the market for purchase a Cheapest Cell Phone. You begin your online search to give you an idea about the price of wireless telephony. Compare prices, free cell phones, the lowest rates. Initial to look familiar?

Wholesale Cell Phone offers lower rates and plans are indeed attractive, but are they really the cheapest cell phone plans? That they have the least expensive service is also to say they know the habits of your call. A little more that the cents per minute.

Is not the cheapest phone a plan with the smallest bill at the end of each month? It makes sense to me. So how do you find the best plan with the lowest rates, which leaves you with a small monthly bill?

Cell phone plans are in two forms. Prepaid, in other words, distribution, and months, or post paid plans. When deciding which is best for you, consider how you use the cellular service each month.

Prepaid cell phone plans are great if you do not use it very often. If you use your cell phone for emergencies only, you will benefit from pay as you because it does not cost much to add minutes to your prepaid cell phone and you do not need to reload again for a while.

Monthly packages are best if you use your service quite often, because many cell phone services offer unlimited night and weekends, free mobile to mobile, and a good amount of minutes at any time. You can even get a free cell phone with a service contract.

The secret formula to get the cheapest cell phone plan in your use and incentive rates. Incentives freebies as free phones or free minutes. Find a good balance of all three factors; you will have less money to your plan.

The most attractive choice for many is to use the free option. There are several ways to try to find these figures without having to pay fees. You can try the online websites you can search for free, but the problem with these sites because they have so few numbers, the chances of it contains the number you are looking thin against, even if is the number it is doubtful that contains the information you need. The reason is simple, cell phone numbers are the property of the cell carriers, and they do not make public their lists.

The other option is the method paid. Yes, it costs money, but you pay a minimum amount to access the database that carriers have phones for rent in these research companies. Not only is it cheap (think a movie ticket), but the service is very fast. You will have the information you want in minutes, sometimes less. You can also obtain historical information on the number that there is a reversal of the research against the cell phone.
